Ribbons
Resin ribbons are the economical solution for printing durable,
single-color cards with sharp text and clear, crisp bar codes. A variety of
standard and metallic ribbon colors are available along with a unique
scratch-off ribbon for specialty applications.
Resin ribbons consist of a continuous roll of single resin color. No overlay (O)
panel is provided as resin images typically do not require the protection
provided by the overlay panel. The following resin ribbons are available for
FARGO printers:
Standard Resin Black (K): This ribbon
provides high resin durability that is ideal for most general purpose monochrome
card applications. Standard resin black bar codes are readable by both
infra-red and visible-light bar code scanners.
Premium
Resin Black (K): This ribbon provides maximum resin durability that is
ideal for applications such as access control where cards are repeatedly swiped
through a magnetic stripe reader. Premium resin black bar codes are
readable by both infra-red and visible-light bar code scanners.
 
 Colored
Resin: Several colored ribbons are available in a variety of colors for
customizing or color coding resin printed cards. These colored ribbons produce
identical results to the Resin Black Ribbons, with the exception of bar code
printing. Note the capability listed with each ribbon below.
