All-photo ID cards are created in less steps and offer more levels of security. Make them with Polaroid Polacolor ID Ultraviolet film for the ultimate protection in your ID cards.

Polaroid all-photo ID cards offer you the opportunity to build multiple layers of security into your ID cards and eliminate manual steps to speed production. Here's how it works: insert a customized data card into the camera. The subject's portrait and personal data are photographed simultaneously and the error of mismatching data and photos is virtually nonexistent. Next, die cut the image, place it into a plastic pouch and run it through a heat laminator to form a tamperproof, finished ID card. To heighten security even further, all-photo ID cards are compatible with most access control technologies such as magnetic stripes and bar coding.

Polaroid Polacolor ID Ultraviolet film offers unprecedented security because it contains an invisible security pattern printed right into the film ¿ it was designed by Polaroid specifically for the identification market. Expose the film to an ultraviolet scanning light and the pattern instantly appears. This built-in random pattern is virtually impossible to forge or alter, and any attempt to tamper with the card destroys the pattern, making altered IDs easy to identify.

Advanced technology offers higher security and less steps
All-photo cards allow you to choose the portrait location, colors, and logos with vertical or horizontal format ¿ and to tailor security options to meet the needs of your organization. All it takes is three easy steps to create ID cards with full color portraits and customized information.

  1. Insert the individual's customized data card into the camera system and simultaneously photograph the subject. Two ID cards can be produced from one sheet of film ¿ they can be cards of the same individual or of two different individuals. The security of this type of card is enhanced because the camera reduces the size of the information which makes duplication difficult.

  2. Next, die-cut the ID cards (photo chips) from the sheet of film and place the photo chips into specially treated plastic pouches. You have the option to keep the second photo chip on file if you have photographed the same person twice.

  3. Then, laminate one or both photo chips by passing them through a heat laminator to create tamper-proof, finished ID cards. The laminates form a virtually indestructible bond with the film's surface. Any attempt to alter the ID destroys the photograph and the random pattern. This can be immediately detected either visually or under an ultraviolet scanning light.
